On September 14, 2015, the SPark: Conservation of Sculpture Parks conference was opened in Sisak. The conference, held at Hotel Panonija, was attended by conservation professionals from 18 countries.
Assistant Minister Sanja Šaban of the Ministry of Culture RC, Sisak-Moslavina County Prefect Ivo Žinić and Kristina Ikić Baniček, Mayor of Sisak, attended the opening ceremony and gave a welcome speech to the guests. They wished them successful work at the conference, and congratulated the organizers on the fact that they had managed to gather so many experts in Sisak. On behalf of the Local Organizing Committee, Vlatko Čakširan, Director of the Sisak Municipal Museum, welcomed the delegates to Sisak. Sagita Mirjam Sunara, Conference General Chair, explained that the conference is related to the conservation of the sculptures from the Sisak Sculpture Park, a project that started in 2012.
On the second day of the conference, Andro Krstulović Opara, counselor of cultural and social affairs to President Kolinda Grabar Kitarović, met with the conference participants.
